Amigurumi Mermaid
I quickly made this mermaid for my niece this weekend. It was a bit of a rush job, but I really wanted to finish it before we left town. Besides, she's 4, so she didn't even notice that the hair was on crooked. She absolutely loved it.

Dalek amigurumi finished!
Not super happy with my Dalek, but it was my first one. Is it still amigurumi when it's 9 inches tall? I'll try another one that has the (hopefully) correct proportions and isn't quite so lumpy. Maybe smaller, too.

Accidental Fish Face
These are the pics from our trip to the zoo & aquarium a couple of weeks ago. I haven't deleted the bad ones or anything yet. The kids had a blast, though the train between the zoo and aquarium was super slow. It was a pretty nice day until the last 15 minutes or so when the wind picked up. For some reason, many of the animals were given cardboard food boxes (with food inside? who knows) to play with, so there was a LOT of ripped-up cardboard everywhere that looked kind of trashy. It was still a fun, if exhausting, day. I really had to resist the urge to touch the manta rays at the aquarium.

Android amugurumi
Finally finished my Android project. Those stupid little arms are a pain! I got the pattern from bethsco.

Ood 2: Electric Bugaloo
My second attempt at an Ood, this time for a friend. Now my brothers want them, too....guess I'll be getting lots of practice! This one went much faster than the last, at least.
Before I start another Ood, though, I think I need to try an Android or a Dalek.

New Ood head
Started another Ood for a friend. It's definitely getting easier. Maybe I'm ready to try a Dalek now...
Once the Great Science Project of 2011 is over, I'll hopefully have more time for this. For now, I have to play videogames for science. Oh, the horror. Though teaching my 4th grader to use Excel for graphs is a special kind of torture.
