My second attempt at an Ood, this time for a friend. Now my brothers want them, too....guess I'll be getting lots of practice! This one went much faster than the last, at least.
Before I start another Ood, though, I think I need to try an Android or a Dalek.

New Ood head
Started another Ood for a friend. It's definitely getting easier. Maybe I'm ready to try a Dalek now...
Once the Great Science Project of 2011 is over, I'll hopefully have more time for this. For now, I have to play videogames for science. Oh, the horror. Though teaching my 4th grader to use Excel for graphs is a special kind of torture.

Silly pig from Angry Birds
Well, he's a little lopsided (though I did my best to hide that in the photos), but I'm pretty happy with my Angry Birds pig. My daughter is trying to convince me to make all the different birds, too - not yet.
For anyone who likes Angry Birds, apparently there was some super-brief clue during a Superbowl commercial about a hidden bonus level. I'm sure you can Google it if you care. I quit playing Angry Birds after I got stuck on one level (I'm not famed for my gaming skillz) so I don't think I can even get to the level where the secret is yet.

Cute Ood!
I finished my Ood finally. I based it on the patterns in Creepy Cute Crochet and this picture by Malin. I made half of it up as I went, but I'm pretty happy with how it came out - especially considering that I only started crocheting a couple of weeks ago! I have lots of other Doctor Who stuff I want to make, plus an Android, various Star Wars things, and more. Plus my kids have several requests; they were flabbergasted that you can actually make your own toys. I think I'll be making a Mario soon...

Another day, another blog
Once again I've started a blog. Who knows if I'll use it beyond this week? I really like the idea of blogs; I'm just not the blogging type. But now that I've got a new hobby (crochet) and I'm taking a bunch of pictures of my finished work, I figured I may as well come up with a place to put it all. We'll see how it goes. First I'll upload the pics of stuff I've already posted elsewhere; then I'll finish my Ood and post pics here. I love the Ood!
