Yes, I'm still crocheting!

This is Derpy Darryl, a gift I made for my friend +Daniel Baldwin. He picked the dragon pattern, which we got from LilikSha Toys, and I picked the colors. It doesn't really show well in the photos (which I took with my phone), but the yarn is this really cool stuff by Yarn Bee called Princess, which has this kind of variegated sheen to it, which was the closest I could find to something scaly. You can see it at Hobby Lobby; it shows up best in blue ("Chivalry") in the photos. Zoom in and you can see what I mean! I love this stuff.  It looks really cool in the maroon ("Brocade") and the white ("Fountain") that I used for the belly.

His neck came out more wobbly than I liked, but that's part of how he got his name. (Dan named him, not me.) His legs can move so he can stand or sit, though he's not very stable standing. It took me a loooong time to finish, because it was much bigger than my usual projects (over a foot tall), and I apparently have a short attention span. Well, life happened, too.

Anyway, this was the only crocheted gift I gave out this Christmas.  But I'm starting a new (small) project tonight, so hopefully I'll have more to post soon!  My daughter has been waiting for a particular kitty cat, and my son wants another ninja, and I keep finding all sorts of adorable patterns on Ravelry and Etsy that I'm dying to make. I finally dug out my missing supplies, and made another trip to Hobby Lobby to get a few things, so I'm ready to go!
